In continuation of our earlier statements and to reiterate our firm commitment to civilians and our keenness to ensure their safety, we continue to closely monitor violations of citizens' rights by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), its allied mercenary groups, and its extremist backers from the former regime.

In recent hours, the opposing force has further escalated its reprehensible use of civilians as human shields, while stifling their attempts to flee the city of El Fasher after we called for bolstering humanitarian aid and opening safe corridors to allow citizens to depart voluntarily to safety.

Hiding like cowards behind unarmed civilians and forcing them to remain in place in residential neighborhoods while the SAF, its extremist mercenary groups, and its terrorist supporters linked to the former regime ravage the people and city is a crime against humanity and a violation of civil rights.

These despicable actions underscore the weakness and desperation of the SAF and its terrorist allies, as they attempt to sow discord between our soldiers and the Sudanese people, persisting in their routine of abusing innocent civilians while throwing baseless accusations at the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that we are responsible for their merciless and vicious crimes.

The RSF reiterates once more that our courageous soldiers hold no hostility toward any citizen. We call upon all Sudanese to foil the schemes of these extremists by avoiding conflict areas and potential airstrike zones.

We salute our soldiers and praise their valor, as they bravely engage in the final battles of this war to liberate our country from this scourge of terrorism — and pave the way for a state grounded in freedom, peace, inclusivity, and justice.
